As I mentioned in my post about winter lights (
here), I'm not a big fan of blending in with the crowd at holiday parties, or any time for that matter. And while cocktail dresses will always have a place in my heart, I'm kind of over them at the moment, especially for the holidays, since they're just so expected.
Anyone can throw on a dress with some black tights and sparkly accessories and look festive, but there's something so smart and purpos
eful about dressed-up separates, particularly when the pants are the focus. I agree, working a pant outfit is trickier than slipping into a single article of clothing, but with a few key pieces and a little styling inspiration, it can easily be achieved, and is well-worth the extra effort!
