Dark and dreamy

In keeping with the cleaning spree I mentioned yesterday, I decided to clear some things off my cluttered desktop today and came across some old mood boards, including this one from a shoot we did a few months ago with supermodel, Hana Soukupova.

The dark but dream-like feel of the story reminded me of today's snowy weather, plus I thought it might be interesting to share a little peek of how our fashion stories come together, from inspiration to finished product.  Above is the mood board I made and below are some final images from our shoot, photographed by none other than the amazingly talented (and very cool dude), Mr. Pavel Havlicek.

Yes, that's a real owl, falcon and wolf (well, wolf-like dog, wolf's are way too expensive and risky... trust me, we looked into it) and we also had a crow!  This was such a fun shoot to work on!  If you saw the issues, the last image went to press as just the single girl in the shot, this one is the same shot, but with a triptych effect I created using outtakes.  Choosing just one image is tough, since they're all amazing and we each had our favorites, so I thought this might be a good solution.  Since it didn't run though, I'm excited to share it here!
