Gareth Pugh

Paris has been filled with so many amazing designs and collections so far, but topping my list right now is Gareth Pugh.  We had the luxury of stopping by his showroom yesterday for a re-see appointment, to view the collection up close, and I was completely floored by the beauty and craftsmanship of his designs.

The clothes that walked down the runway all looked amazing, but getting to see and touch them in person allowed me to really understand the genius in his construction and made me appreciate them that much more.  There's also something about seeing the pieces broken down and isolated from their complete looks that allows you to better envision their real-life wearability, which is what I loved most about this collection.

Each piece is so incredibly fashion forward, yet somehow still classic and wearable.  The jacket silhouettes were to die for and the materials he chose made them remarkably more comfortable than they let on.  The geometric cutout pieces were surprisingly flattering as well, and the leather he used was some of the softest I've ever felt.  I love when a collection is both editorial and wearable at the same time, and I think that's exactly the note that Gareth Pugh has hit this season.

And now the all important question... Who wore it better!?

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
xoxo
